Digi One IA is not Allen Bradley/Rockwell, and Modbus protocol aware. It simply has a form factor that allows it to be connected to a top hat din rail.
The Digi One IAP is Allen Bradley/Rockwell, and Modbus protocol aware. This means we check the format of the packet to see if it matches the protocol guide lines. If not we reject the packet as invalid. It also includes an industrial automation wizard to walk you through setting up one of these protocols.
If you are using devices that support one of the above mentioned industrial protocols you should be using the Digi One IAP device.
